Routine appointments

Routine appointments are available from 2 to 4 weeks in advance. However if you wish to speak or see a particular clinician you may have to wait longer.

  • call the practice on 01757 702561
  • visiting our reception desk at the surgery
  • send a request through our online portal (not available out of hours)

Please note that there are a limited number of routine appointment requests available online.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery

Appointments by phone can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

When you ring to make an appointment, a receptionist will ask you for a little more information. Please share this with them, it’s entirely confidential. This will help us ensure that you see the most appropriate member of the practice team as quickly as possible.

Please note that the surgery telephone number will appear as ‘private’ or ‘unknown’ on caller display phones.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

If you are unable to keep an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible, this may enable someone else to be seen.

To cancel your appointment

  • call the practice on 01757 702561
  • appointment reminders may include a link to cancel your appointment yourself

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone or face-to-face
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

Home visits take considerably more time for GPs and nurses than seeing patients at the surgery. Therefore, we encourage patients to come to the surgeries whenever possible.

For urgent home visits, where you are able to please contact the surgery before 11:15. Routine visits for housebound patients can be requested at anytime of day.

Our receptionists will need to know some details in order to give the GPs an idea of the priority for a visit. Please note that even by taking your details, the receptionists are not guaranteeing a visit. A member of the clinical team may telephone you back for more information, and it is possible you will be invited into the surgery for an appointment, if a visit is felt to be unnecessary.
