We provide a full contraceptive service in normal surgery hours. For women wishing to have a contraceptive implant fitted or an IUD/IUS (Mirena) fitted, it is important to have an initial appointment with Drs Batty, Benson or Bradley-Wood who specialise in the fitting of implant and IUD/IUS (Mirena).
Emergency contraception is available from the Urgent Treatment Centre at Selby War Memorial Hospital or the nurses as well as the doctors at the surgery. It is important to be seen as soon as possible and certainly within 72 hours of any potential contraceptive failure or omission. This service is also available from your local pharmacy.
