Welcome to Posterngate Surgery Online
We are a 6 Partner GP practice situated in purpose built premises in the centre of Selby, covering a radius of about 7 miles. We operate one branch surgery in Hemingbrough which is only open part of the week and is for patients who live at Hemingbrough or Cliffe. For details of the branch surgery and its opening hours, please click on the 'Opening Hours' tab above.
We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.
As a practice we also take part in occasional research projects.
In addition to everything you need to know about the practice, you will also find a wealth of health-related information in the menu on the right hand side. Please have a look around the website and feel free to send us some feedback.
Please only visit the surgery if you have been requested to do so, please either phone or email first for any query you have. Prescription requests can be posted through the letterbox at the surgery.
In line with government guidance, if you are invited to visit the surgery for an appointment, please wear a face covering. A face covering can be a scarf or fabric mask. We thank you for your co-operation.

Flu campaign 2020/21 – Over 65s and clinically at risk patients
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we are making changes to how our flu clinics operate this year.
We will not be holding drop in clinics, clinics will be by appointment only, details on how to book are included on flu invite letters sent to eligible patients.
Patients aged 50-64 who do not usually receive a flu invite invite letter (not clinically at risk) can be vaccinated from 1st December onwards. We are awaiting information from suppliers on how to order vaccine for this cohort of patients, once we have established there is sufficient vaccine available, we will arrange vaccination clinics and contact all eligible patients.
